Skate shoes are unusually cheap right now, and a few deals actually matter
A 59% drop on Vans and Lakai classics, a Nike SB Dunk at 30% off, and a Double Duro wheel deal worth knowing about. Here's what's actually worth grabbing.

Most of this week's price-drop list is shoes, which makes sense given where we are in summer clearance cycles. The raw numbers look dramatic across the board, 40% off is practically the floor right now, but not every deal is equal. A few of these are genuinely good prices on shoes with real skate credibility, and one wheel deal snuck in that's worth your attention. Here are the five that stood out.
Shoes: Vans Authentic Mid and Lakai Mod/Manchester — 59% off
Three shoes hitting the exact same price point of $35 (down from around $85) is either a coordinated clearance push or a pricing coincidence, but either way, $35 for any of these is a legitimate deal. The Vans Authentic Mid is the mid-top version of one of the most skated silhouettes ever, full stop. Mid-tops split the difference between low-top board feel and ankle coverage, and Vans has been refining this shape for decades. If you know the Authentic fits your foot, grabbing one at $35 is a no-brainer.
The Lakai Mod and Lakai Manchester are both down to $35 from the same $85 starting point. Lakai has long prioritized board feel without sacrificing durability, and the Manchester in particular has a loyal following among street skaters who want a low-profile shoe that holds up through heavy use. The Mod leans slightly more toward cushioning for longer sessions. Both are solid options at full price. At $35, you could reasonably buy both and not feel bad about it.
Shoes: Nike SB Note Dunk Low Pro — 30% off
The Nike SB Note Dunk Low Pro is down to $90.97 from $129.95, which is a 30% drop on a shoe that almost never moves. Nike SB Dunks have a complicated relationship with skateboarding at this point, pulled in too many directions by hype culture, but the Dunk Low Pro with its SB-specific construction is still a genuinely functional skate shoe. The responsive cushioning and the durability on the upper are the real story here, not the silhouette.
Ninety dollars for an SB Dunk Pro is a price you will not see often. If you have been skeptical of paying full retail for these, this is the window. The Note colorway is subdued enough that it reads as a skate shoe rather than a collectible, which is exactly what you want if you are actually going to skate it.
Wheels: OJ Double Duro White Gum Chubbies 56mm 99a/95a — 34% off
The only non-shoe deal worth calling out this week is the OJ Wheels Double Duro White Gum Chubbies 56mm 99a/95a, dropping from $60.99 to $39.99. The Double Duro construction is the interesting part here: the core runs at 99a for rigidity and response, while the outer layer steps down to 95a for grip and a smoother roll over rougher surfaces. That combination makes these wheels genuinely versatile rather than optimized for one surface type.
At 56mm, these sit in a range that works for transition and street without being so large that flip tricks feel sluggish. The gum colorway on the outer layer is functional, not just aesthetic, gum compounds tend to grip better on dusty or damp surfaces. At $39.99 for a set, this is one of the more technically interesting deals in the current list, and the price is legitimately low for what you're getting.
